Ricky Ponting's Captaincy Called Into Question

Ricky Ponting's captaincy has been called into question after he lost his cool at times and has come under fire and also struggled with the bat during the ICC World Cup 2011 tournament. Currently, he has been thrown into doubt with a report, claiming that he could be axed as ‘gutless'. An unnamed official of the Cricket Australia has said that there was stiff opposition at boardroom level to Ponting staying in the job. He added that the position of Ponting as a player has been in trouble.
